REOPENED AFTER TWO YEARS AND REFURBISHMENT FROM FEBRUARY 2016...
Located in the village of Ireby, Emily's Black Lion is a traditional Lakeland pub for visitors and locals alike.
Recently taken over by Mark and Emma from Mae's Tearooms in Uldale, this great pub has had a splendid makeover inside and a warm welcome awaits.
Relax with a well earned pint after a day on the fells or tuck into one of our tasty home made bar meals.
The pub is warm and cosy with wood panelling on the walls and a wood burning stove.
Tables outside the front of the pub on warmer evenings to watch the world go by.
We are a free house and offer a range of well kept real ales - Jennings Bitter and Thwaites Wainwright are our two regular ales. We also have 2 guest ales on tap most evenings. A range of keg beers (Shipyard Pale Ale & Marston's Oyster Stout), lagers (Peroni and Fosters) and cider (Kingstone Press Craft Cider) and a selection of quality wines are also available, together with a range of spirits.
Traditional home cooked food is served at the times shown below. We hope to extend these times as we become established.
Check out our Sample Menu:
Free WiFi internet access too.
We hope to offer a splendid self catering apartment for 4 people later in 2016. Watch our Facebook page for further details.
