The Old Rectory is located in the centre of Caldbeck, next door to the Churchyard.
Treat yourself to some luxury at the end of a long walk with a hot bath or shower and relax in one of our very comfortable bedrooms.
This beautiful house and garden are set in the centre of Caldbeck.
We are right on the Cumbria Way and 2 minutes walk from the Oddfellows Arms. Cumbria Way walkers walking south to north can enjoy a comfortable last nights stay, in spacious rooms.
A teatime cup of tea and a warm kitchen await your arrival.
We provide drying facilities for wet boots and clothes.
For guests who arrive by car there is plenty of off road parking. We offer a secure store for bicycles.
It is under a two mile walk from the house to the fell gate which leads on to the Caldbeck Fells.
There are many walks on footpaths by the Cald Beck river and surrounding farmland.
The Old Rectory was built in 1785 and is in the centre of the Caldbeck village right on the Cumbria Way.
We are next to St Kentigern’s Church, in the churchyard of which is buried the famous huntsman John Peel.
Children very welcome. NO SMOKING throughout.
Parking is in the grounds of The Old Rectory.
Many of our visitors walking the Cumbria Way have their bags delivered by the Sherpa Van Project.
B&B Facilities:
Prices:
£90 for double or large twin with bathrooms.
£80 for smaller twin which shares bathroom with double. This smaller twin is not let separately from the double and is ideal for family or friends who do not mind sharing bathrooms.
Children: Children aged 10 and under £10 per night.
Single occupancy is available - rates on application.
