The Wool Clip
The Wool Clip, Priest's Mill, Caldbeck, Cumbria, CA7 8DR

Location
We are located at Priest's Mill in Caldbeck village - look out for the brown signposts for "Priest's Mill".
The Wool Clip is an award winning co-operative made up of local workers . We formed in 2001 and today has more than 15 members who together run the thriving Wool Clip shop in Caldbeck.
We have extended the Wool Clip shop to incorporate a new sales area so please come and take a look around.
Here at The Wool Clip, we all have a thing about wool. Between us, we grow it, sew it, spin, weave and dye it, knit, crochet and felt it, hook with it, tuft with it and stuff with it. Our work focuses on colour and creativity, our aim is to share our enthusiasm for all things woollen.
The Wool Clip is made up of enthusiastic designers and makers and we juggle our work with farming, families and other commitments. By creating a co-operative, we were able to raise the profile of our work and create a shop that we could share - each member spends a couple of days per month in the shop.
We won the Northwest Women in Business Social Enterprise of the Year Award in 2009.
Our wool shop is based in the Priest's Mill at Caldbeck (just down from the Church, near the river).
OPENING TIMES:
The shop is open 7 days a week 11am - 5pm from April to October.
November to March we are open 11am-4pm 7 days a week.
See our website for current shop opening times.
It's always advisable to ring if you are coming some distance just in case something has prevented us from opening the shop.
The shop is always staffed by a member of The Wool Clip, who can advise you on members' work, the background to the business and any forthcoming events.
And, of course, you are welcome to browse the yarns, kits, clothing, accessories, home furnishings and gifts to your heart's content.
Members are also responsible for organising the annual Woolfest in Cockermouth, Cumbria - this started in 2005 and now attracts over 100 stallholders and 4000 visitors every year.
Please remember to mention the Caldbeck area website when you contact the Wool Clip.
